Who designs my prints?
Maxbox Matchbox is a one person operation built on a love for vintage matchbooks, good design, and meaningful memories. Every print is designed, printed and shipped by Max in Atlanta, Georgia. I do everything myself, from customer service and design to packing prints and posting on Instagram / TikTok. I truly appreciate your support and am so grateful to make art that connects with people.
Max Senoff - Founder
Max, nicknamed Box, launched Maxbox Matchbox in December 2023 after receiving a jar filled with over two hundred vintage matchbooks from his father. What began as a fun side hustle quickly grew into a full-fledged passion project.
Armed with two business degrees from the University of Georgia and a natural eye for design, Max found his niche creating matchbox collage themed prints. After noticing the rising trend of matchbook collages on Etsy, as well as matchbooks being offered at restaurants, he dove in headfirst, starting with in-person sales at Washington DC's Dupont Little Flea Market, where his work was met with instant enthusiasm. Customers wanted more cities, more universities, more custom options, and Max was all in.
Since it’s inception Max has designed upwards of 300 custom matchbox collages. His goal in life is is to walk into an apartment of someone he doesn’t know and see his art hanging on the wall.
Every Maxbox Matchbox print has been designed by Max himself, who has traveled, browsed, and bargained his way through flea markets and vintage shops to find the best matchbooks. From day one, he has also handled the marketing, customer service, social media, finances, and production side of things too.
Now, Max lives in Atlanta and is trying to move to New York City, so if you have any leads on where he can get a full time job, let him know! You can find him on Linkedin here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maxsenoff/
Former Employees
Michael Silver - Former Chief Operations Officer
Michael joined Maxbox Matchbox in October 2024, stepping in to take over the shipping and production side of the business. A double degree graduate from the University of Georgia, Michael has always had a passion for logistics, efficiency, and getting things done right.
Based in Austin, Texas, he printed and shipped every Maxbox Matchbox design with care and precision from October 2024 to December 2025. From time to time, you could also find him selling prints at local markets around Austin, where his energy and enthusiasm are always a hit.
Michael and Max go way back. Not only were they college roommates twice, but their shared love of creativity and collaboration made him the perfect partner to help bring Maxbox to the next level. Max had the honor of being Michael’s Best man at his wedding in May of 2026. He brought great ideas to the table, kept things running smoothly, and had become an essential part of the business.
His devotion to Maxbox Matchbox earned him Employee of the Year for 2025.
As the saying goes (and as seen in the photo), he always delivered, which is why they call him the post man. With all he has contributed, it might just be time to rename the business “Michaelbox Matchbox.”
